Trinket Curio Cabinet Project 2025

THE PROJECT

Throughout the year, I'm hoping to assemble a display (or two!) of unique items as a collective project. If you've been tattooed by me, you know that I collect items and doo-dads that have been gifted to/found by me and display them in my studio space. I thought it would be fun to do this as a way to see what things my clients find neat or worth collecting! The items and assembled display remain with me, but you get something in return.

THE ITEMS

I don't have a specific list of things I'm looking for. Most people know what I'm into (cats, dragons, plants, crystals, skulls, creepy shit), but this is more about YOU. If the item you'd like to add to the project has a story, I want to hear it! The more unique, whether in appearance or story behind, the better! Most items should be 3"x3" or smaller - I may make exceptions depending on what is being offered.

Need ideas? Collectible tchotchkes, cool rocks, crystals, jarred stuff (dried flowers, snake skins, oddities, whatever), handmade trinkets, little toys (maybe from the 80's and 90's for millenial nostolgia?), vintage keys, shot glass, mini tea cups, mini books, coins/tokens, brooches/jewelry items, bones, etc (this list could be endless because I don't know what could be offered!)

PLEASE note that I know there are many 3D printers out there, but I am not looking for a mass collection of them. I MAY accept a couple for the project, but that's not exactly what I'm aiming for.

THE REWARD

What do you get out of it? I'm glad you asked! In exchange for your item and participation, I will offer a simple tattoo (your idea or mine), outline or black and grey stipple shading, palm sized (mine) or smaller for only $60. (My usual minimum is $100!) My hope is to assemble a small gallery of tattoos that were part of the project as well. The tattoo doesn't have to have anything to do with the project or the item you're offering, but if it is, I think it would add to the experience! I'd like to keep this to one item/tattoo per person, but if that changes I will make a post about it via social media.

Items should be brought in at the appointment time.

Deposits for this project are $30 and non-refundable and non-transferable to other people or appointments.
